About the position
Data Orchestration is a newly established unit in Novo Nordisk Data Science Development organisation responsible for strategic planning of data generating activities ranging from early product development to post-launch. The Data Lead Project Director (DLPD) is the key project leader representing the Data Science organisation in one or more Global Project Teams (GPTs) and a proactive partner in 5D product development across the lifecycle of a product.
As a Data Lead Project Director at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Orchestrate the strategic use of data and data science disciplines to enable data-driven decision making and evidence planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and chair a cross-functional Data Science Project Team (DSPT).
- Develop the Target Data Profile (TDP) for clinical projects or therapeutic areas, driving strategic project planning and transparency for evidence generation and data utilization.
- Spearhead the set-up of our new clinical development projects and contribute to the development of our DSPT operating model and framework.
The ideal candidate
We are establishing a strong team with diverse capabilities to complement each other, and we are looking to onboard a candidate with experience from early to late-stage drug development to our team.
The ideal candidate has a tireless drive, naturally spearheading change in large organisations and have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry value chain and product development. You are looking for the next step in your career where you can utilize your expertise with data science and/or clinical science to champion 5D product development. You see teamwork as a key driver for success. Obviously, experience from a similar set-up in another large pharma company will be an advantage. Other key capabilities include:
- Strong leadership skills, either as project or people manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Deep insights into data science disciplines in drug development (e.g., biostatistics, pharmacometrics, advanced analytics, epidemiology) alternatively as scientifically or medically responsible for designing drug development programs
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and organisational understanding
- As a person, you have a proven track record, being able to connect the dots across several stakeholders where expectations are high, and success requires exceptional teamwork and a strong drive – also when headwinds kick in
Should a preferred candidate not meet all the criteria for a Data Lead Project Director position they will be considered for Associate Data Lead Project Director.
