DSFE 2026: Basic Pharmacoepidemiology Course and Annual Meeting

The Danish Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (DSFE) invites you to two consecutive days in Copenhagen on 28–29 October 2026. Attend either day on its own or both as a combined programme.

Venue: Kræftens Bekæmpelse (Danish Cancer Society), Strandboulevarden 49, Copenhagen

Day 1 – Basic Pharmacoepidemiology Course

28 October 2026, 09:00–17:00

Teachers: Anton Pottegård and Helene Kildegaard

A full-day introductory course for those starting out in pharmacoepidemiology. The programme covers the choice of study design, target trial emulation, exposure and outcome ascertainment, systematic errors, and transparency and reproducibility, with hands-on sessions including a “pitch a problem” discussion. The day ends with networking and dinner.

Day 2 – DSFE Annual Meeting: Innovations in Pharmacoepidemiology

29 October 2026, 09:30–16:15

The annual meeting focuses on innovations in Pharmacoepidemiology. The programme includes talks on artificial intelligence, emerging data sources, oral abstract and poster presentations, a debate on hormone therapy in menopause, and an introduction to targeted learning.

Guidelines for abstract submission

Abstracts should be ≤300 words and include the sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Abstracts must be written in English and may include one table or figure (legend not included in word count).

Submit abstracts to info@dsfe.dk no later than October 1, 2026. Notification of acceptance will be sent by October 7, 2026.

Fees

All fees are in DKK.

* Overnight accommodation at Comwell Copenhagen Portside, Nordhavn, can be arranged by DSFE for participants attending both the course and the annual meeting.

** The networking dinner on the evening of 28 October is free for participants in the basic course but requires separate registration. Annual meeting participants are welcome to join the dinner on the preceding evening for DKK 200.
